I am very happy with my new blueray hd dvd player by LG. It was exactly as it was described. I have had no problems with my player. Has a wonderful picture.

I READ THE SPEC'S ON THIS PLAYER AND IT SOUNDED EXCELLENT AND WHAT I WANTED.NOW THAT I HAVE IT IT IS ALL I READ AND MORE.SINCE I HAVE BOTH HD AND BLU-RAY DVD'S I DON'T HAVE ROOM FOR TWO DIFFERENT UNITS. THIS ONE IS PERFECT AND THE PICTURE QUAULITY IS SUPPERB ON MY SONY LCD TV. THE SOUND IS ALSO GREAT AND I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE.I HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE

I would not be able to do a review on this as the one I received was bad and had to be returned. I was not sent a new one that the way I was told - instead I was credited back. I was not told a new one would not be sent nor that I would be credited back.
So, I still do not know how it would perform and I have DVD's that I can not watch.

i was so excited when i got my bluray dvd. i have used it time and time again and it does not let me down. i love it. works excellent and it is very appealing to the eye. the buttons are touch sensitive and the blue lights really add PRIDDINESS

I bought this unit for my office. We have had an 43" HD plasma for years, and other than a Mac on the PC input, it has never displayed HD content. Until now - I was amazed at how good a regular DVD looked with the up-sampling. Haven't tried a Blueray or HD DVD, but expect they will be similar to what I have running at home.
The big seller on this unit for me was no matter what format someone plays on this we should have success.
If I had home machines to repurchase I would consider this for personal use.
