JBL Venue Series SUB10 March 29, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
JBL Venue Series SUB10 10-Inch 250-300-Watt Subwoofer This speaker sounds wonderful. Although I am not an electronics geek like some of you out there I love music & the sound effects in movies. The JBL Venue Series SUB10 handles both very, very well. I am sure you would not be disappointed in adding this item to your sound system. Keeping in mind it is for home listening, as in you living room or family room, not a big hall. From the low vibrations of a bass violin in a classical masters symphony, to the rumble of cannon fire & cavalry charges in a historically classic movie, the SUB10 delivers great sound for the price, and easy hook up. The only thing I didn't care for was the tiny little sticker on the back that said Made in CHINA (not noted in the ads). If you want USA stick to POLK Audio as are my other speakers.
EXECELENT SUB March 26, 2008 I was searching for a while now for a sub at low price but great sound. I read other reviews and they were all great and so I took the gamble and bought this speaker and wow folks this speaker is great. It brings all your movies to life. If you have a DTS collection of movies like I do WOW WOW WOOWIE the movies sound theater-like. You can control the bass setting so you can adjust it to your likings. If you like your walls shaking you can set it to that or if you like a soft back ground jazz like bass you can set it to that. Trust folks for the price you just can not beat this sub.
Clean Sub March 8, 2008 Excellent sub. Tried several others ad this by far is the cleanest. Solid low end to my polk surround sattelites. Sub that came with the Polk system was unacceptable. Great deal from J&R Music World, $159 with free ship or Amazon for $167 free ship. Best Buy sells for $279-get a grip.
Failed after 1 hr March 1, 2008 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
I was happy after listening my new sub, however, after 1 hr of usage it suddenlly began to produce a punching sound like a constant hit. Dissapointed by JBL. My old and low level Onkyo continues serving me pretty well.....
