I bought it on sale for about $200. It is the best upgrade you can make to a home theatre system. Its got extremely acurate bass. It does not look bad, the grill looks funny so I don't use it.

I have had this sub for about a month now and really like it. However, I'm not an audiophile so I cannot attest to the range and the finer details of it's output. For me, it works great with both movies and music in a medium-sized entertainment area. It is much bigger than I was expecting (although the dimensions were clearly listed in the product specs) and the front cover is down-right unattractive (but I did not buy it for looks).
