Good value for the money November 29, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
First, I hate when people report a low rating on a product due to getting a bad product. This happens in life, deal with it and move on. It is more important how the company fixes the error, than an isolated problem. I bought a Honda once that had a bad seal on the windshield, but I kept it despite such a "horrible" mistake and eight years later the car is still doing great. This product is solid in every way. The key in buying this product is usage. If you like the 6 disc play style this is for you. Please note it is deeper than most players, so actually measure your shelf and add an inch or two for wiring. If you are looking for super HD or BluRay and single disc action, then obviously you should move on. For about the same price, you can get the Sony 5 dics changer, which is also another nice product, have 2 of them in my home. Product also has a nice sharp look to it, and if you like blue background lights, you will like the night light built into the front.
Onkyo DVCP704 October 19, 2007 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
I highly recommend Onkyo to anyone looking for high quality at a reasonable price. Purchasing the Onkyo DVCP702 in the past for the master bedroom and being highly satisfied with that I decided to go with the DVCP704 for the guest room. CP702 was already a great machine, but nice surprise with new feature upgrade on the CP704, It has great crisp picture even if you don't have HD t.v. and the features on the remote control makes it extremely easy to skip the previews on a DVD and get right to the movie, along with language, subtitle, audio, plus. A new zoom feature turns a widescreen movie into a full screen (or larger) in a second.
Being an artist the clear picture on pause is highly appreciated along with being able to automatically zoom in and freeze a frame. I found other features like playing music CDs, MP3 and JPEG files to be high quality sound and resolution.
Would like to see Onkyo make a model that records t.v. programs onto DVD just like the VHS use to do at under two hundred dollars.
I give it a four star rating only because it doesn't record t.v. programs, otherwise I'd give it a five.
:-) What Cha! waiting for guys!!!

This HDMI player is very easy to set up and produces excellent picture and sound quality. For the money it is a very good buy.
Onkyo DVD Changer September 1, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I haven't had this DVD player very long but it works great. I use it more for music than DVD's but it does a great job with both. I made up a CD with 157 MP3 songs on it and it played perfectly. I would definately buy Onkyo products in the future.
Good sound But SLOW!!!!!! August 16, 2007 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
I have no real issues with the sound quality, but this disc changer is sooooooo slow its aggravating, especially during parties when people want fast DJ like performance. Also, it has no fast forward button to speed through a long song, only advance to next track or previous track functionality. So, possibly four stars for sound, but other annoying features kick it down a notch.
