The Samsung DVD-M301 DVD player is an affordably priced model that features state-of-the-art composite-video outputs, a slim design, and a dual-laser pickup. The dual-laser design, which employs separate laser diodes for DVD and CD playback, enhances video and audio quality and extends format compatibility to CD-Rs. In addition, this unit includes an MP3 decoder for playback of MP3 files recorded on CD-R disks. The player's Spatializer N-2-2 sound circuit simulates surround sound through your TV or stereo speakers, while its 96 kHz/24-bit audio converters deliver pristine audio quality from DVDs and CDs.  A Great DVD Player April 10, 2006
I had this DVD player for years and never had a problem with it. It played all DVD media I ever put into it perfectly.
I would recommend it to anybody.
dvd-m301 is great! May 9, 2004
I got this unit from e-bay and it was worth the effort I spent in trying to outbid other e-bay members. The video output is excellent (I hoooked it up to my 31" Philips HDTV) and the audio reproduction is really as advertised - it simulates surround sound as if It were connected to a surround system. It plays cds and cd-r without a hitch and sounds great on my Kenwood VR-6060.

This is a bargan DVD player. for the price, you can't expect much more than you get. The remote could be less combersome without the joy stick and the disks could load faster, but hey. The mp3 playback was clearly put in as an after thought, it plays them, but there is no randomization option for your listening pleasure. What i really like about this dvd player is that it works and doesn't give me any problems, but most of all that it has played every dvd i've thrown at it including dvds from china. It also plays vcds with flying colors. If your looking for a good mid range dvd player, this is a good buy.

Hii bought a Samsung DVD M301 dvd player and i lost the manual, and i need to configure the remote control, but i can't find it, i need to know if you can send it to me please, or if you know a page where i can donload it Thank You Very Much David
No problems--no concerns April 9, 2003
I've had this DVD for a year, with absolutely no problems. Hooked into my surround sound system, I have very good sound for DVD's and CD's.I hate to tinker with my electronics once I get them set up, and, thankfully, I've never had to pull out my manual since I got it connected. With optical outputs for the surround sound and a choice of s-video or optical video outputs, it was a snap to set up, also.
