4 out of 5 stars Battery life horrible, sound, comfort excellent, and more   January 16, 2008

I'll get right down to it:
-- Battery life is horrendous. Buy a good charger (La Crosse BC-900), and 8 Duracell 1000 mAH batteries to fuel thing thing or you'll go broke, fast;
-- I've found the headphones very comfortable with good sound but will not stay on if you jog;
-- Bluetooth pairing is sometimes a pain but the range is typical for bluetooth devices;

Overall, if you get the rechargeable setup above they're the best I've found. All 900 MHz headphones I've tried are useless unless you want to listen to your neighbor's phone conversations. Go with these.

3 out of 5 stars don't leave the room   June 4, 2007
I got this for my husband so that either he could listen to his C&W without bothering me or I could watch TV without bothering him. As long as you are in the same room with the bluetooth sender, it's OK. As soon as you try to walk to another room, upstairs, or, Heaven forfend, out to the patio, you can forget it unless you are willing to find exactly the right spot and hold your head at just this angle and are near a doorway (or window if outside). I've not a clue why this is so. I know that my PDA will link to my PC via bluetooth pretty much anywhere in the house. To me that means that the problem is not bluetooth and my walls but the headsets.

3 out of 5 stars I Really Wanted These To Be Good!!   January 21, 2007

I have to say that shopping for the "perfect" set of headphones has definetly been a test of my patience and objectivity. I bought these as a companion to my Creative Zen Vision M, which I love by the way. The headphones do work as advertised, they sound pretty good, the fit is average and not having to be tangled in wires is "sweet". The whole reason I went on a search for these phones in the first place. After about a month I finally gave in and returned them to continue looking for something better.
The battery life is really poor and as several reviewers pointed out, they are almost impossible to get them to feel comfortable on your haed unless you hold your head perfectly still and just listen. They seem a little top heavy and they just didn't feel secure, like any moment they would just fall off and on several occassions they did just that. I had no problems with the connectivity or any real complaints about the sound quality, I just didn't feel comfortable wearing them so my final thought was, " what's the point if they don't feel right". I have a pair of Sennheiser px100's that get great reviews and I am not crazy about them either mainly because I always get tangled up in the wires so I guess finding the right headphones is a crap shoot and a process of elimination.

If you are the type that can put the headphones on your head and not move much, you may enjoy these, the sound quality is good to my casual ears but they really don't give you the feeling they will stay on your head if you move around much, no matter how I adjusted them, it just wasn't worth the stress. I apologize for the disjointed review but I hope this helps someone thinking of buying these; if you had a way to audition them for a few days that would be my best advice, Creative is a good company and I love their mp3 players, the headphones do rate well as far as build quality goes.

3 out of 5 stars Not the best headphones that I've ever owned...   November 19, 2006

First the good news, the Bluetooth rocks - crystal clear sound (within about 10ft, maybe 15-20ft max without *any* obstructions which is completely normal for the BT1.1 spec). My other wireless headphone experience is with the 900MHz variety, and they were staticky and lame compared to these.

Now the bad news:
Ergonomics - definitely not the most comfortable headphones. I have to wear them rotated towards the back of my head (the ear muffs dont flex into a comfortable position for me, but maybe they would fit if I had a much bigger head). You definitely cant workout with these - too bulky, they dont fit right, and they arent comfortable if you cinch them to your head with a bandana or headband.
Battery life - I burn through the transmitter battery about an hour faster (2-3hrs) than the headphones (3-4hrs). If you purchase, get some AAA rechargable batteries too.

One final recommendation, pick up a 20ft 1/8" stereo M/F extension cord online or at Radio Shack so you can extend the range.

I got a set as a gift. Sound quality is OK, but as an occassional user, I find that the bluetooth connectivity is hit/miss. I have to also agree with other poster comments about the low battery life; I typically seem to have to replace the transmitter battery each time that I want to use the headphones.

Lately I have also had a problem with the left channel in the headphones seems to have gone out, so I will likely need to get a warranty replacement.
