Product Description If the tunes you spin go deeper than your earphones can handle, it's time for new earphones. The Atomic Bass earphones are tailor made to deliver the slamming bass of hip-hop and dance, but they are tonally balanced for any music style.Precision crafted from the same material as the iPod Nano, and sporting a gold plated stereo mini-plug, Atomic Bass goes to the final degree to make sure everything looks and sounds perfect.Bass sound waves are longer by nature, so it takes longer for bass energy to really get started. The unique shape of Atomic Bass features a lengthened sound chamber to let those waves develop properly. While the sound is generated in the stylish bud, the angled tube chamber which sits in your ear canal acts as a tuned port. Penetration is deeper, and so is the rumble. This means clear, deep bass you can feel. Don't miss the sensation. Finally, most earphones are rated at 16O of impedance. Atomic Bass earphones are rated at 32O, which makes them easier to drive. This added efficiency helps to produce enormous sound, and your iPod battery doesn't have to work so hard to do it.Your ears are unique and, for many people, the smallest available ear fitting is still too big for their ears. Factor in a variety of ear shapes, and getting the right fit becomes challenging. Atomic Bass earphones can be inserted from three possible angles, and the smallest of the three included fittings is among the smallest available. Three angles times three fitting sizes equals nine possible solutions to getting the most comfortable fit for your ears.

Great Sound but the silcone ear buds come off easy. October 7, 2008 I bought these with the help of a couple ten dollar gift cards from IWON.com and for in the ear headphones they are awesome. I never thought I could like in the ear especially after using Sony's hard plastic ones from back in the day. I have always used on the ear or over the ear headphones for listening to music and radio. These are it albeit the silcone ear buds come off easily and sometimes in your ear. I lost one of the ear buds already and contacted the manufacturer and they said they sent me replacements but I haven't received them yet.
They fit September 25, 2008 If you have small ear canals and are tired of fighting with other earbud style headphones then these are the answer to your frustrations. For this fact alone I would recommend this product but they also sound very good. Bass response is,as the name implies, very good as are all other freq. No they're not a $100 pair of Bose or Sennheisers but for the price they perform well and "they fit".
pretty good September 19, 2008 I have small ear canals so ear buds are a real problem for me. I did a lot of research and thought I'd give these a try. All in all, I like these ear buds much better than the ones that came with my ipod. They work fine, deliver good sound and I like the multiple ear bud sizes. I use them at work and mostly listen to "coffeehouse" type music so I don't notice them being heavy on the bass. There are a few issues worth noting, however. I find that I need to insert the buds far into my ear canals to get a full stereo sound. I'm also not a big fan of the shorter left ear bud wire. I've yet to find the perfect ear bud. Until then, these are fine.
Great earbuds September 5, 2008 I just bought these earbuds, and my early review of them is that they are excellent. I've probably bought half a dozen sets of earbuds in addition to the ones that have come with the mp3 players I've bought, and these are by far the best. They aren't the cheapest, but at a little less than $40, I still think they are a good value. If you're looking for in-ear noise reducing earbuds, these are great IF you select the right pair of bud covers for them. They ship with the "small" covers attached, and when I listened to my iPod with those, I was really disappointed in the sound. I took those off and put on the "large" set, and the sound was improved 100%. My earbuds never last more than about six months since I use them for running and causual listening. I am saving all of the literature that came with them so I can take Radius up on the lifetime guarantee if these should fail. All in all, I think these are a solid product.
You get what you pay for with these. August 20, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I know that many people will consider a $40 pair of in-ear phones to be on the high-priced side, but these are actually some of the cheaper earphones available. They do exactly what you would expect: provide a bass-heavy, rather unnatural, sound from portable media players. As someone who normally uses a separate headphone amplifier (most often a C&C XO) even with high-efficiency headphones, I really don't need the efficiency of these units. The quality and clarity of the sound doesn't begin to compare with many of the units that are only a few dollars more. Also, these seem to be made rather cheaply, with flimsy cables and tips that don't stay in place very securely. (Not to mention the extremely frustrating difference in cable length between the earpieces. This is a feature that I simply can't stand, even though I have several units from other manufacturers with the same silly design.) Overall, I would suggest that these are suitable mainly for people who (1) don't really care too much about clarity, sound balance, and quality; (2) like a lot of bass, even if it's not in the original recording; and (3) don't have much money to spend on such things.
One last, off-topic comment: I really wouldn't put much stock in reviewers who spell "bass" as "base"...it suggests that the reviewer would be a person who, never having owned or driven anything other than a Yugo, would claim that the Yugo is the best car in the world. If you don't know how to spell "bass", I doubt that you have much experience with audio equipment in general.
