Running with situational awareness October 6, 2008 I bought these headphones to allow me to run and still maintain situational awareness. I go running early in the morning and I like to be aware of my surrounding. They're very comfortable and stay on my ears without any problems.
Great for outdoor and indoor sports July 27, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I use these headphones for both my tai chi outdoors and my workouts at the gym with a personal training group/ For Tai Chi - it is great to hear both my music and nature around. At the club - it is great to both hear my music and the direction of the trainer.
I love the ability to increase or decrease the volume from the mini lever which hangs around my chest - and I have never had the earphones get loose during any workouts.
Highly recommended
Great Product! July 24, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I love these headphones. They are comfortable, they sound great (a little bit light on the bass but fantastic mids and treble), they stay on my ears through all kinds of activities (from running to the treadmill and weightlifting to biking), they are a great solution to the new hands free law in California when driving on the cell phone, and the best part, they allow you to stay in tune with your outside environment, whether you are talking on the cell in the car, jogging on the sidewalk or riding your bike on the street, or walking around the grocery store. You don't have to shut yourself out anymore. If you want to talk to someone, just turn the volume down while leaving the headphones on. Great stuff!
Great for everyday wear July 11, 2008 I have this for over 3 months and the best thing about it is the peace of mind that my hearing won't be damage. The sound might not be the best but I only uses it at home when I'm studying.
Don't work for me July 11, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
These earphones are well made, attractive, and comfortable to wear. However, they don't meet with expectations. There are many products for the same price or less that produce a much fuller sound. Basically, there is no bass; they sound something like an early transistor radio earphone. I'm 64 so maybe my cartilage doesn't transmit sound so well, but I'd suggest anyone wanting these should try them before buying. Also, on my IPod and my Slacker Portable, the volume has to be cranked to the max, at which the sound is at least acceptable. This is not necessary for any of my other earphones.
For joggers, bikers, etc. they may be the ticket since they don't drown out ambient sounds. Interestingly, if I push them to my ears with my hands, the sound is better than average. Maybe they will work better under my motorcycle helmet. If so, I'll add a review.
