Great isolation and sturdy design October 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased these because I liked the sleek, all aluminum construction, and needed sound isolation for my daily subway commutes. They look great, better than expected; and are also heavier than I realized, which I prefer. The isolation is superb, I only hear my music, no crying kids or train sounds! Most will need to use the included adapter extension, as the regular cord is very short without it, but that might be ideal for use with an iPod Shuffle.
The only reason I did not award 5 stars is because I found the swappable silicon ear buds somewhat difficult to change. Out of the package the smallest buds are attached, so I had to switch to medium. They are pretty easy to remove (almost too easy) but not very simple to reattach. The instruction insert actually warns you to ensure the buds are properly seated, because they may come off and stay in your ear when you attempt to remove them. This hasn't happened to me, but I did have one pop off after I removed the buds and set them on my desk. I only have used these for one day and I expect to lose one of these soon. You'll notice a small groove where each ear bud should be seated, but even when you correctly attach the silicon, it can pop off, almost as if it is too tight, sort of like rolling a rubberband off of a newspaper.
Overall they seem to be very sturdy so I expect them to last a while, unlike past in-ear buds I have used.
They're ok for a little bit October 14, 2008 The headphones worked great when I first got them. The bass was awesome and I loved my new headphones. However within a month and a half they broke. The plastic separated and I no longer had sound in both ears. I'm very sad my headphones no longer work. :( It was good while it lasted.
