 Belt clip is the weak part November 19, 2008

I really like the cover over the phone, and use a cover over the iPhone glass in addition to the OtterBox window. Oil film is minimal, as someone else noted. I also had to shave the Griffin plug to make it fit.
My gripe is the belt clip broke today. The female pivot points for the clip itself broke today when I pressed down to open the clip. I've checked with OtterBox about what to do, and I sure they will respond soon.
Just glad I wasn't on a ladder or crossing the creek when it let go....

Don't get me wrong, this is a good case, but not any better than a couple others on Amazon for half the cost with free shipping if you are a Prime Member. I contacted Otterbox Customer Service and they were very unresponsive and abrupt. I have three cases (two iPhones) and I would rate this behind a popular one on Amazon.

The Griffin Cig Power adapter which I bought from the Apple Store does not fit through the opening to power the iPhone with this otter box. The stock power wall mount power supply does however. The problem is that the the Griffin connector is just a hair to wide. I solved this by shaving the edges of the power connector with a wood file. You just need to do this to the left and right edge the connector. If you don't have the Griffin Cig adapter, no need to worry about this.

Awesome. I wouldn't trust anything else to protect this $200 plus machine than this box. Withstands a fall from the car from children, slips from the stroller and a brush with bubbles. Excellent.
