Tried two pairs of these- dont bother!!!!! November 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got my first pair of these, and they stayed on ok- not great, but then after a month one of the ears went dead and was silent. So I bought another pair, and one of the ear sides compeltely loosed up right away and would just fall out of my ear constantly. these are horrible. save your money!
Nike SHJ036 Flexible Earhook Headphone November 29, 2008 A decent replacement for ordinary earbuds, which like most people, I have a difficult time keeping in place in my ears. I find that this Nike product does a good job of staying in place if one is careful to take advantage of all THREE adjustments -- swivel shaft, telescoping shaft and swiveling ear hook. Merely "hooking" the ear piece over the ear is usually not enough. The other two adjustments must also be used to advantage. The sound quality is decent but not as good as more expensive headphones. Decent for the price, I think. They are convenient to carry in a pocket, unlike larger headphones.
Pathetic Durability November 19, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
6 months after I bought these headphones, the right one went out on me. Now if I wiggle the cord for a while, the sound comes back, but goes away as soon as I let go. Sound quality was average but not great, and the hook over the ears was uncomfortable for long periods as the metal part chafes against the top of the ear. Those issues were tolerable, but I'm really ticked that they broke after 6 months. What's worse, the housing is glued, so there's no easy way to crack the right earbud open to repair the loose wire.
Awful fit. They just jump out of my ears.. November 10, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought these for gym along with iPod shuffle. I especially wanted headphones which would stay on during jogging and other dynamic exercises. So these headphones looked nice and "stickable" thanks for earhook, so I went on and bought them.
Well, long story short - bought them this morning, returning them this evening. I just can't believe how Nike can even imagine to position these headphones under Nike Sport brand. These headphones JUST DON'T STAY IN! You can't fix them inside your ears, and the hook it to soft to use it fixate the goddamn things inside your ears. They just sort of hang over your ears, swinging on the earhook, until the hook slips and they fall off..
Absolutely, totally, NO BUY if you want to use these for jogging or stuff like that.. Look elsewhere..
Good for running/gym October 23, 2008 I like these headphones. I am on here to buy another pair, which will be my third. I run anywhere from 25-40 miles/week and these stay pretty snug. I have to adjust them occasionally, but certainly haven't experienced anything like some of the other reviewers where they have to "adjust them all the time." The sound quality is okay, but I am not exactly listening for subtle nuances while I run, so they work just fine for my up-tempo beats. They also last pretty well. I've sweated on them for my summer runs in 100 degree weather, sprayed sunscreen on them, and haphazardly thrown them into my gym bag for over a year now, and they're just starting to need a replacement. I think they're a great value for the price. Definitely recommend.
