Great for the price. April 6, 2008 These earphones are comfortable and the inline volume control allows you to boost the sound when you are in a high-noise environment, like on a treadmill. The earphones have a plastic cover rather than flimsy foam; the covers still come off, but not as easily as the foam ones.
good value July 27, 2007 I used this set during my runs for a year - it held up until the warranty expired, then the cord/volume control got spotty for a day, then it failed to work. It may have been because of the 100 sweaty runs or the recent half-marathon in the pouring rain. The alternatives out there are of worse construction/sound, are too expensive (Sennheiser, e.g.), or are earbuds (fall out, can't hear ambient sound). So, I just got another pair of the RCAs to replace the pair that died. They're not the best, but they're good for the money.
Update NOV 2008: that second pair also failed after a year (left earpiece stopped working). As reported by others, the earpiece silicone jackets do come off too easily, but not during a run. They come off when in "storage" (a pocket, e.g.). I'd recommend gluing them on w/ superglue.
Great for small ear'ed runners!! March 22, 2006 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
These are the only ones I've found that fit my tiny ears. I have now bought 4 other brands of behind the ear sport headphones hoping that one would fit my tiny ears without falling off while I'm running. Of course, no avail. However, the sound quality of these is terrible. The little volume knob on the cord is a pain and always got knocked when I ran (so I just tapped it). However, they lasted for a good year and a half and NEVER FELL OFF!! Good value for the price...I wish the retailer would ship these to Hawaii so I can stop wasting my money on "sport" headphones.
