4 out of 5 stars headgame   November 10, 2008
decent quality and very decent sound. a bit clumsy with the included noise cancelling box maze of cords and that little box.best used at home or on a long trip.

4 out of 5 stars Grandkids loved them   August 19, 2006

I purchased these for a trip to Tampa. We were flying with our Grandkids and we needed something to occupy them.
We have a Panasonic DVD player and these headphones were just right for the occasion.
They didn't totally cancel the jet noise but performed fairly well.
I would recommend them as an inexpensive set that will do the job

3 out of 5 stars PRETTY GOOD   June 5, 2006

I bought these recently and think they are a pretty good deal for the money.

Pros:
1. They are comfortable and stay on my head/over my ears well.
2. They sound good. My ears will crackle if I listen to crappy headphones. These do not make my ears crackle.
3. The noise cancelling actually works.

Cons:
1. The volume control / noise cancelling control box attached to the cord sucks! It is way too big, and bulky, and pulls the cord out of my laptop / MP3 player. This really annoys my shipmates when suddenly music is BLASTING out of my laptop in the middle of the night in berthing.
2. The plug seems to be slightly smaller than it should be, cause it gets pulled out of the socket (the hole in my laptop or MP3 player) easily.
3. Turning on noise cancelling results in a reduction in volume.

They are good enough to sleep with them on.

I'm sure the Bose are better, but they better be for how much more they cost. For $40ish, these are pretty good.

But I am still looking for a replacement because the controller box really sucks. I'd prefer a smaller set, too.

4 out of 5 stars Good sound quality, terrible noise cannelling   May 22, 2006

I have used this headphone for more than a year. It has very good sound quality, which worth the money alone. However, the noise cancelling is useless. Don't expect it to cancel the noise on an airplane.

1 out of 5 stars No up to scratch   April 8, 2006

Sorry to disgree with the other reviewers, but I found the performance of these headphones well below par. I bought them for my wife before we flew to Germany, and I have tried them out on a number of flights since. I have found myself switching the noise cancelling on and off a number of times to check if it is actually doing anything.

I also found that wearing the headphones for any longer than 1 hour makes my ears hurt because of the pressure on them.

In comparison, I also have the a set of Targus headphones, and these are brilliant. When I switch on the noise cancelling, I have to turn the audio on the in-flight entertainment down to it's lowest level, otherwise it is too loud now that all the background sound is removed.

Regards,
Brett
