This review is specific to the PDR Ultra Slim fixed mount for 37"-60" Flat Panels. I bought this to mount my new 52" Samsung. Very simple and heavy duty design. It consists of a plate that you bolt to the wall and a plate that attaches to the back of your TV. The two simply hook together being held by gravity. There is also a locking bar included which should prevent any unintentional movement once mounted. You'll need two people, a tape measure to center the mount into the proper location, a stud finder, a drill with bits to drill pilot holes in to studs, a wrench or socket set to bolt lag bolts into the pilot holes and, and a level to keep it all level!
I wanted the TV to be as close to the wall as possible and this is truly ultra slim. The cables coming out of the back of the TV barely have enough clearance from the wall. I poked a hole in the drywall behind where the TV was going to be and fed all the cables down to another hole where my components were. You can't gain access to the back panel of the TV without taking it off the wall, so be sure to attach all cables you might need. I forgot to run the power cable through the wall the first time!
Great price (especially after the rebate I got) and great solid product. I'm very happy.

The PDR box was damaged somewhere in shipping. One end (the end with the barcode needed for the rebate) was missing and the mounting screws were loose inside the box and on my front porch. Normally, I simply return the box, but time constraints led me to keep the remaining intact contents. The hardware that remained in the box was loose, but undamaged and adequate (see below) for mounting my TV.
PDR customer service was very responsive and offered to send out additional hardware if I needed, but I declined. PDR may consider beefing up its packaging or having Amazon overpack the boxes before reshipment.
One comment on my mounting experience with PDR. I went to attach the mounting arms to my Samsung LN52A550 LCD TV and found out that the 8mm x 40 screws were about 1/4" too long when screwed into the TV all the way (including the mounting arm and square bracket washer). The 8mm x 20's were too short to even use, so I tried the plastic spacers which put the arms out about an inch from the TV. I didn't want to add another inch to the profile and didn't want the extra moment arm length, so I went to my local hardware store and purchased some 8mm x 35mm screws and they worked perfectly to attach the arms flat against the TV. You may want to consider 35's instead of 40s for Samsungs. PDR was contacted and is researching the Samsung mount hole issue. Otherwise the installation was effortless and I'm very happy with the quality construction of the product.
PDR contacted me and stated that the rebate process will be resolved despite my missing product barcode. Good customer service!

This thing is very easy to mount (about 15 minutes) and is very stable. I have an LG 42" LCD and it works great! I've had it for over a month now and it works very well. There also is a locking feature on it so the T.V. can not be removed.

Just installed my new Samsung LN46A650 using this mount on to the Crate & Barrel Loop Media furniture. This mounting unit is very well built and solid. What's more is that it came with a whole bunch of bolts of varying lengths, plastic spacers and washers. Definitely a good product made by people who have pride in their product. The only thing I regret is not buying the fixed mount and saving $50. There is nothing wrong with the tilting mechanism, I just realized that I would not be using it, since the viewing angle of my Samsung is so wide.
My one question to the other owners of this mounting unit is "did you guys use the plastic spacers or not?" I used it because I didn't want the back of my TV damages by the vertical hooks. The spacers were nice but I was also thinking does it prevent the bolts from not screwing into the TV far enough? I may be just being paranoid.

I also bought this mount based on the reviews and couldn't be happier. I have a 50" flat screen and the mounting brackets fit to it with no problem. This is a lot cheaper than the mounts at Best Buy. Best price and great quality. I definitely recommend this mount.
