pretty sturdy October 27, 2008 I use these for my radio stations' air studios (arms pointed in opposite directions on a desk when we have two hosts). They're tough enough to stand up to those fools messing with them. Very stable if mounted through a desktop. High quality hardware, and despite a few plastic pieces here and there - i think they'll hold up for the long haul.
They also look GREAT!
Still, 4 stars for using plastic where I wouldn't have.
works well, im using it on a dual viewsonic vx922 setup and it feels sturdy enough, versatile, too October 25, 2008 works just as advertised. looks pretty slick, too. with my viewsonic vx922 monitors, the highest i was able to get em was 9 inches above my desk, but that will vary depending on what monitors you have. its got many options for changing angles and stuff, works well. i used it on a glass desk thats not too sturdy, so what i did was cut some thick foam thing used to protect carpet from treadmills and put a piece under where the bottom part touches the desk (the top part has a rubbery surface so i didnt do it there). worked out well, but whether or not you would want to risk doing that is up to you, of course. i was so tired of having so little desk space i just went for it. but it worked out. good mounts.

ok, so i bought this thing as it came with a 30 dollar rebate. but... apparently the company that is processing the rebates went bankrupt and the check that is on its way to my house will bounce and cost me fees if i try to cash it... for those of you who did the mail in rebate thing, check out the slickdeals.net blog for information on this ongoing problem... sounds like amazon isnt being very supportive based on what ive heard others say. hopefully they will be helpful when i contact them later this year...
This is a great product October 17, 2008 I purchased 2 of these. My plan was to mount 4 monitors in a square. Originally I was going to just mount the two poles close together and use one for the upper two monitors and one for the lower two monitors. I have a corner computer desk with a hutch that has a top shelf in the middle. So, what I did was cut one pole and attach the two poles so they fit snug between the desk top and the bottom of the top hutch shelf then bolted the top and bottom through the wood to create a taller very firm pole. Then I installed the two arms on the pole with the lower arm holding (2) 22" monitors and the top arm holding the other (2) 22" monitors. It works very well as I can easly adjust each monitor to face directly to where I sit.
Great dual LCD mount. February 11, 2008 I bought this mount for someone I know and they really like it a lot. I helped install it and everything went smoothly using the included clamp. You have 2 lockable pivot points near the monitor to pan/tilt, up/down and left/right plus you have the arms, not lockable, that can bring the monitors forward/backwards or left/right. Very nice design.
Only con I had and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. The mounting bracket to the monitor is hard plastic with a inner metal support. I wished the entire bracket was metal. Despite this it's been a few months and holding fine with 2 19" wide screen LCDs.
Liked this mount so much I ordered another one for myself, it really does free up desk space!
