I've always liked Sanus products however, this was received in an obviously repackaged box and was missing all parts except the actual shelves. I was extremely disappointed that Amazon shipped something that was an obvious return without checking it out. In addition UPS left it out in the rain even though someone was home so the box was soaked. I do want to commend the customer service person that I dealt with who promptly credited my account
 Solid, simple AV stand September 7, 2008
This is a very solid and simple rack to hold your new HDTV. Took all of 10 minutes to assemble, although you may need a helper due to it's weight. I bought one of these in May for my new recroom 42" Panasonic plasma HDTV and I liked it so much that I bought a 2nd for my family room. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 for 2 reasons:
1) it only comes in black. My wife wanted a wood-tone but I didn;t want to spend $$$. So it is just a trade-off I suppose.
2) the shipping package it came in was not as secure as I'd have liked it to be...we had a minor scuff on the side of large top shelf. Lucky you can flip this top shelf around and that hid the scuff. Note to SANUS: the guys at the shipping hubs are going to drag this thing around on it's corners. You may want to really reinforce that part of the package.
All in all this is a solid, no-frills piece of furnture that can hold quite a bit of gear.

this tv stand does what it suppose to do, hold a lcd tv. nothing out of this world when it comes to luxury. to put together does not take much and can be easily asamble in less than 15 minutes. as far as price goes; just like any other tv stand, expensive/over price!

Well designed and rugged stand. Easy assembly with the only tool required (allen wrench)included. I have this stand loaded with heavy satellite equipment and other video devices as well as a 42" Panasonic plasma TV. It holds it all easily with no sign of sagging. I highly recommend this stand.
