This set features Toshiba's FST Pure Fine Pitch Flat Picture Tube, which provides a clear, sharp picture and reduces the glare normally associated with curved-screen sets. Its three-line digital comb filter also enhances resolution by removing the blurred edges between colors and reducing dot crawl. Toshiba includes its heat-resistant Invar Shadow Mask technology, which prevents picture discoloration that often results from overheating. bought a toshiba that died 1 year still under warranty... decided to try antoher bought this model and it too has died less than 3 years after purchase... Spent about $850 on TV. Would highly not recommend!!

Guess Toshiba TVs age in dog years, bought this unit four years ago and now it is completely dead. The tv started showing some diagonal green lines a few months back and then would shut itself off; the power indicator flashes continuously and you had to unplug the power before you can turn it back on again. Did a google search, seems many people are experiencing the same problem within the same time frame, three to four years after purchase. Toshiba has lost this consumer's confidence for good, I will definitely look another brand for electronics.

Bought this TV about 4 years ago and the picture tube has already failed and will cost more than the original cost of the TV to fix (and I spent $160 to find this out). I will likely never buy another toshiba product. I believe this set has been discontinued, but I would reconsider purchasing any toshiba product.

Even though this model is no longer available I thought I'd write a review since mine is now on the verge of dying. Bought it in November 2001. Great TV until about summer 2004 when picture started getting a noticeable green tint to it. Around Nov. 2004 the TV started turning itself off at random moments. It used to happen about once every couple of days but it now will only stay on for 5 minutes before shutting off. Paid $850 for this TV and it isn't even 4 years old. I've always been impressed with Toshiba quality in the past but now I don't know if I want to take another chance with one of their TV's. If you're looking into buying a Toshiba you might want to think twice.

I spent a long time in stores just staring at the various 32" TVs. I decided that I wanted a flat screen, and it seemed the choice was between Sony and Toshiba. I went with Toshiba because I just liked it a little better, and there are alot of bad things said about the Vegas (good things too). I am delighted with my choice. DVDs look AMAZING! My PS2 looks fantastic on it as well. I highly recommend this set.
