Very nice looking stand, even for 47" TV. March 17, 2008
Despite this being listed as for a 42" TV, after carefully reading description of dimensions, we concluded it would work for our 47" rear projection LCD HD TV. We've had it for over a year now, and have had no problems. The finish has held up nicely, and the unit is sturdy.
Of course LCD rear projection units do not weigh very much. Your mileage may vary with a heavier TV.
