Can't go wrongAugust 27, 2010 Nautibyrdman I have a 50" Pioneer Kuro display, PS3, Pioneer VSX-1120 A/V receiver and Def Tech sub and drivers. These cables from Mediabridge are working very well for all of my equipment. My whole system now utilizes theses cables, and I have had no problems or issues at all. There is no reason to pay a small fortune for HDMI cables from some of the other companies with a really extensive marketing campaign and "pretty" product packaging (shouldn't mention any names........MONSTER).
I suggest you go to the Mediabridge website and look at their quality comparison pics. These seem to be good quality cables for a reasonable price.
same has monster cables but a lot cheaper!!August 24, 2010 madpappy try these cables, you will notice a differance on your hd equipment and save dough at the same time.
Pay anything more and you are swindledAugust 17, 2010 Lai Chi Wei(Okinawa, Japan) I purchased this 15ft Mediabridge cable along with a 9.8ft Amazon cable (Amazon branded, outsourced in China, no doubt, as are all HDMI cables). One for my PS3/BD player and one for my Xbox 360. Both are cheap and both work perfectly.
When it comes to digital signals, you will either get:
1. A perfect picture and audio, or
2. Bad picture and audio.
In other words, there is no "improving levels of quality" between the two states above. We are brought up with the idea that increasing levels of quality are possible by purchasing better cables. This may hold true for analog devices but, in the digital age, all video and analog signals are rendered into 1s and 0s. A picture, for example, is rendered as a continuous stream of 010101100010 (think Morse code); your HDTV picks them up and assigns appropriate colors to appropriate pixels accordingly. Everything is in cold hard science; no art is involved. Your cable will either be capable of transmitting the signals, or it will fail. There is good and there is bad, there is no "poor".
There is no reason to pay ridiculous amount for a HDMI cable. I would recommend paying a couple of dollars for brandless cables except that with them you do run a risk of getting a faulty cable. Mediabridge offers an exchange policy for people who want some sense of security. On second though, you might as well purchase half a dozen brandless HDMI cable: you end up paying less if only *one* of them works than if you have purchased one of those "monsters".
Great HDMI cableAugust 7, 2010 William Gilmyers(Southern California) Quality is top notch. Nice rugged build. Did a run through my wall during a remodel, great reproduction of picture and sound. Top notch at any price, great value.
Works GreatAugust 4, 2010 Robert C Cotton I needed a cable that would run from my satellite box to my tv. My tv is only 720p and mounted on the wall so I needed a cable that was long enough to run through the wall. This worked just as expected.
