5 out of 5 stars Love my Vizio   November 16, 2008
I had never heard of this brand before I started looking to buy. Everyone gave it a rave review, even my cable guy. I have had it for a year, and never a problem. Great picture. I'm looking for a bigger one now.

1 out of 5 stars Warned by walmart employee   October 18, 2008

I was warned by a buddy of mine that works at walmart to avoid the 32inch by vizio, and that ALL OTHER sizes they offer are good buys. The issue being that they made the 32inch the big seller, requiring vizio to fart out hundreds of them in a short time. That translates into cutting corners, which means cutting quality.

4 out of 5 stars Vizio 32" HDTV   September 28, 2008

I've owned this set for over a year now & I'm about 97% satisfied with it. It has great picture quality. The price was unbelievable. It was much cheaper than many of the other "known" brand names. It has two HDMI ports, it has two connections for accessory components (red, blue & green hook ups), RGB monitor connection (works well with my laptop though I do have to change the resolution because I only have VGA available on laptop), 2 AV connections & 1 cable connect.

The Vizio has worked well with cable & has done well with an inside external antenna. Every now & then I get digital trash or pixelization. This occurs more when I use the antenna. I'm not able to get great reception at times even with an antenna that has a power boost feature. I also suspect that this product might have a low refresh rate. I use a Philips DVD player (no HDMI) that has a great picture during playback. The one drawback I have here ( I have no experience with other models in this regard to TV or DVD) is that there's a major drop in volume when playing DVD. This difference can amount to more than 30 points at times.

I've only had to go on line once for customer service, it did take some time. The end result was satisfactory but was time consuming. The bottom line is this: This Vizio HDTV is toward the bottom end as far as "gadgetry" is concerned but when I compare the value & price I paid for it, I am very satisfied.

5 out of 5 stars if you're low on cash... then its vizio for your....   August 27, 2008

No... but seriously.... It's a great deal with a comparable picture to all the other main players in the HDTV market. I purchased mine from Sears about two years ago, and it's worked perfectly... Games look sharp, movies come to life and paying for a high def package is worth it. Hey it's simple math... WHY pay up to 1200.00 when you can pay 600 and get pretty much the same thing... Unless your're one of those people that has to have every thing sinked up. Bravia tv, ps3, sony reciever etc..... Hey, with the money saved, you can purchase one of those all in one remotes!

2 out of 5 stars Good product line, Horrendous customer service   August 11, 2008

I actually bought a different model from Vizio, which was of good quality...

However when you try to get customer support online, make yourself a cup of coffee, and take some valiums, because you will need to be very relaxed in the long wait and pretty amazing answers:

Let me just describe some of them

1. Our TV broke down and they agreed to fix it, the fix did not work (took about 7-10 days for a tech to show up). Then took as a month to set up the appointment to replace the TV, the story was that their database changed.... who cares??? I bought a product for 1,300$ just give me a timely answer
2. We decided to move and had to by a replacement box for the shipment, at that point they sell it to you for 160$ (shipping + cost of the box)... WOW, not cheap. But we had to do it anyways, 10 days later, no answer on where it is, no tracking info (hey 21st century has arrived), and promised answers within 48 hours (business hours.... what the hell does that means?). Tried to cancel the order, they would not let me do that either...

Make a long story short, pay the extra 200$ and go for another product with a reasonable back. This was my first and last product from Vizio.

I gave it two stars because during the time it works, it's actuall pretty reasonable.
