Yes, it really works, I own 3 of themAugust 1, 2010 JEFFZZZ 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
I don't see why people who don't even own this product insist on writing bad reviews to try to show how smart they are. Well, take it from me because I actually own three of these, and a Monster 600. I can honestly telly you that I can see a difference in my cable feed between my 600 and my 1000. When I first got my 50" DLP, I hooked it up with the 600. The picture was pretty bad. I know the cable was fine, because it worked fine on my PS3/Bluray. So I went back to where I bought the TV and told them I wanted to know how to bring it back, since I got it delivered. Well, the guy recommended to at least try upgrading the cable before I bought it back, since I could just bring back the cable too. So I went ahead and bought my first Monster 1000. When I got home, I could not believe the difference. It made my SD channels look like what my HD channels looked like with the 600, and my HD channels look like nothing I have ever seen before. That was 4 years ago, and that cable is still running strong, and I have boughten one for every HDMI unit I have. I also upgraded to a monster cleanpower surge protector. Yes, Monster is more expensive, but for a good reason. If you don't like it, don't buy, but you don't have to try to convince other people not to.
Much cheaper than a company that wanted us to buy from them.June 27, 2010 Tanker66 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
We hired a company to install our TV on the wall and they wanted us to buy a cable from them. We researched Amazon and found the same exact cable 1/2 price.
Cant see the differenceJune 18, 2010 ELRIGO 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Ive just received my new 1000HD monster cable and I was pretty excited on changing my old cable and see the difference in deep color and other specs. I have a KDL46EX700 SONY LED TV with a SONY BDP-S360 player and I put on CHICAGO which has a lot of BLACKS and good colors to really see if it was worth it. The chapter that I selected was Cell block Tango. With the standard sony HDMI cable and with the Monster 1000HD cable LOOKED THE SAME, then I just started to see if I didnt make any mistakes and checked the calibration on the TV and its the SAME.
Ok, now I know that if I ever need another HDMI cable I wont turn to Monster unless I have to plug it and unplug it 100 times a day.
A PRO is that the cable looks very good but thats it.

A direct comparison of this cable (~$250) vs monoprice's SKU#3571 (~$66) revealed absolutely no difference in video or audio performance. 'nuff said.
