The BassX Dual 8 250-Watt Powered Subwoofer incorporates a long-throw woofer, which delivers the deepest possible bass response, extending down to the 20Hz range. Designed for huge bass response, easy system setup and flexibility, this SpeakerCraft amplified subwoofer features line-level inputs to connect to most any receiver or preamp, a continuously variable low-pass crossover so you can adjust the subwoofer to match the bass response of your main speakers, adjustable phase switch and a proprietary SpeakerCraft bass boost circuit. This subwoofer is also equipped with a fixed high-pass crossover circuit to cut off the bass to the front (main) speakers so the upper bass will not overlap, thereby avoiding booming. With front-mounted controls, twin front firing ports, and clean responsive sound, SpeakerCraft's BassX Dual 8 250-Watt Powered Subwoofer provides accurate bass to any audio system, and is designed to work in conjunction with your other audio components. The BassX Dual 8 can be connected to any surround sound receiver that has a subwoofer output, any receiver that has a built-in preamplifier, or any receiver that has speaker level outputs.
