Amazon.com Product Description AudioSource's LS525 indoor/outdoor speakers are designed for durability, ease of use, and quality sound from small enclosures. You can mount them from the eaves or in a partially covered deck or patio using the supplied mounting brackets or position them indoors on a shelf or on individual stands (not included). You can even use them as surround speakers for a home theater (or, with 2 pairs, as front and surround). Despite being small (6.6 x 9.5 x 7 inches, W x H x D), the LS525s each feature a 5.25-inch reinforced polypropylene woofer and .75-inch polycarbonate tweeter and can handle up to 125 watts per channel from your integrated amplifier or surround receiver. They're easy to hook up and can accommodate almost any kind of speaker-wire connections (up to 12-gauge wire). The speakers' binding-post speaker terminals simplify hookups and ensure high-fidelity sound. The speakers come with color-matched brackets for mounting and nonslip adhesive pads for shelf or stand positioning. What's in the Box Two speakers, color-matched mounting brackets, self-adhesive "feet," and a user's manual with installation instructions. Note: The LS525s are manufactured to resist a variety of weather conditions, but they're not waterproof, so if you decide to place them outdoors, position them so they're not directly exposed to the elements. The undersides of most eaves and overhangs provide the best protection.
Product Description The LS 525 retain the stylish wedge design of the LS 300 and LS 400. Their larger size provides for more power and better bass response. This is another speaker that sounds better than you might expect from a compact speaker. Allied with a small powered subwoofer, they provide a full sound while occupying little space.

terrible August 24, 2008 bought a pair of these speakers to use in my backyard, one of the woofers stopped working, so the seller sent me a replacement. The replacement's woofer was lose and the low end sounded awful. Got another replacement. A couple days after receiving the replacement, both speakers broke using a 75 watt receiver turned up less than half way
Pleasantly Surprised June 16, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am more than pleased with these speakers considering what I paid for them. Do they sound like the high-end Bose speakers? No. But for the price, they are an excellent value. I mounted them in the backyard under the eaves so we would have music when in the pool and they sound very good. I am pushing them with a Kenwood tuner and these things will jam. I can turn them up pretty loud with little distortion...certainly louder than the normal listening level we will be using. I would certainly recommend these speaker to anyone looking for good sound on a low budget.
lacking bass June 13, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
highs are fine, lacking some what in bass, but this may be due to location of speakers, mounted in eaves. but for $30 will do the job.
Flat and natural responce June 11, 2002 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I purchased this set to replace a pair of KLH's 905b and that was being used as my main front speakers to my DTS system. I found the AudioSource to be very flat and more natural than the KLH's in the voice range. I plan to move the KLH's back to the front and use the AudioSource for the rear speakers. I found the AudioSource a bit to flat for my use. I like the sparkle on the highs that the KLH's gave, sinch the center speaker carries the main vocials. Other than the flat or natural or a better term dull sound and I am not sure I would use the AudioSource outsied, sinch the case is ported the weather could enter the speaker, unless used under an overhange.
